New Disposable Eye shields just arrived

We have a new product set at Attenutech we’re happy to offer. It’s a set of varying eye-protective shields that are catered to specific procedures or needs. With that in mind, just know that these eye shields are not interchangeable and should only be used for their specific needs. We’re currently carrying four options that are all rated in some capacity to offer protection where it’s most needed.

ANESTHESIA EYE PATCHES

When you undergo general anesthesia, especially for longer surgical procedures, these will help to keep the eyes in a healthy state while you’re having the procedure.

The anesthesia eye patches will help to moisturize and protect your eyes from getting any type of debris or abrasions. They come with a circular adhesive ring and can easily be applied and removed. These are also an FDA Class 1 Medical device.

DERMATOLOGIC EYE SHIELDS

A great option when looking for a preventative shield against all the products used in dermatological procedures. These dermatologic eye shields come with a side locking mechanism and have a vertical take-off mechanism to help with application and removal. This is also considered a class 1 medical device.

You don’t want to have any accidental runoff from dermatological procedures end up in the eyes, especially when some of them can be quite abrasive (as is their intention), such as when doing chemical peels or microdermabrasion. Having these eye shields will block any entry of these substances to the eyes.

IPL EYE SHIELDS

Intermittent Pulse lights or IPL require specialized items for protection. Whereas most laser-based protective eyewear is based on certain wavelengths, IPL’s wavelengths keep changing, so these are specifically built to protect from that.

In addition, these IPL eye shields come with the right certification of IPL ISO std 12609-1:2013-0, specifically meant to protect against the varied wavelengths and bright lights that come out of certain medical devices, usually dermatological-based lasers.

LASER EYE SHIELDS

We never want any type of lasers directly in our eyes, and that’s why these exist to help offer a wide protection level. These have a massive optical density of 7 to really block out many types of lasers and their various wavelengths. These specific shields will help provide protection against lasers that range from 315nm to 11,000nm, making them an excellent choice for any procedures involving lasers.

In addition, these have passed extensive testing and have received both EN2067 and ANSI Z 136.1 certifications against lasers, so there’s no concern about their efficacy.

All of our options are hypoallergenic and latex-free and are proudly made within the United States, so it’s ideal to side with any of the options for those that need protection in any of the areas above.

They come with a sizeable amount of 50 per pack, but as always, it’s a good idea to stock up in advance to ensure you always have some available. If you have any more specific or technical questions, we’ll be happily able to support you and resolve any concerns.
